Job Summary
To review, research and implement Customs processes, applications and systems for the Group and customs services.

Overall responsibilities
A key player in the digital transformation team to drive business implementation and change management for Customs. Through the responsibility of systems analysis, requirements definition and management, business process testing and benefits management.

Specific Responsibilities
– Make sure outcomes are aligned with the digital strategy of the Group for current and future Customs services, with the initial focus on Brexit
– Investigative existing processes, interaction with business units and systems utilised to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information and document management, practices, procedures, and organisation change
– Working closely as part of a delivery team
– Ensure changes to requirements are investigated, managed and have the necessary approval prior to the development and implementation cycles
– Contributes to the development of organisational methods and standards
– Designs and manages tests of new/updated processes
– Manages selection/creation of relevant scenarios for testing and ensures that tests reflect realistic operational business conditions
– Ensure tests and results are documented, reported to stakeholders and are available for specification of user instructions
– Provides systems guidance and training to users to ensure that the system is used in an appropriate manner
– Monitors benefits against what was predicted in the business case to support ROI analysis
– Identifying and managing risk to delivery of changes
– Support Customs operations by reporting on compliance to processes and data quality and ensure that customer digital expectations are being met
– Continuous research of market trends for commercial and Government Customs digital solutions initiates, and offerings are
– Continual review of internal customs operations processes to streamline and make use of latest technology to reduce manual interaction

Experience
– Use and knowledge of Customs Clearance Systems;
– Knowledge of HMRC systems Chief and CDS;
– Knowledge of Community System Providers (CSP);
– Understanding of Customs application set up and integration;
– Database and document management
– Integration with other systems such as FMS, WMS, TMS and AMS
