Business Development Manager Berlin, Germany

A market leading freight forwarder are seeking a proven business development manager to cover the Brandenburg region based out of Berlin. The position will be focusing mainly on airfreight import/export sales however ocean freight can be targeted if necessary. No particular focus on commodities nor trade lanes as the client offer worldwide destinations.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and growing a sales pipeline within the Brandenburg region for Air & Ocean freight
  • Retention management, development of existing client portfolios
  • Face to Face customer visits
  • Generating turnover/ profit and volume growth in line with the company requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven track record within freight forwarding sales
  • At least 3 years experience in freight sales
  • Communicative, Team player
  • Commercial thinking, sales orientation and good negotiation qualities
  • Fluent German and English.
  • Airfreight background is preference but not essential

Salary: €70,000 – €80,000 (DOE) + Bonus/Commission + Company Car + Laptop/Phone
